Tom Hall has built his career on service to the small business community, especially as counsel to many of the area's entrepreneurs. He has more than 30 years' experience in dealing with the day-to-day and transactional legal needs of owner-managed businesses. He has served as lead and local counsel in numerous asset and stock purchase transactions involving small- to mid-sized, closely-held companies having annual sales ranging from $1 million to $100 million.
Tom's counseling experience spans a broad range of the economy, including manufacturing, distribution and service industries. He regularly assists his clients in their business law needs as they relate to contracts, transactions, employment/benefits issues and tax planning for corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and family foundations. In addition, he practices succession and estate tax planning for business owners.
Tom has achieved an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating granted for competency and ethics in law. In 2004, he became a member of Indiana Super Lawyers in the Closely Held Businesses practice area. Lawyers awarded the designation are selected by their peers throughout the state.
Tom serves as Tuesley & Hall's representative to LawPact, an international non-profit membership association of small business law firms which promotes law practice management.

Community Emphasis
Tom's long-standing commitment to the small business community is evidenced by his service to the Chamber of Commerce of St. Joseph County, including service as chairman of its board of directors.
He is involved in a variety of civic and business organizations including the Tax Task Force (past chair) and Legislative Affairs Committee of the St. Joseph County Chamber of Commerce; South Bend Rotary Club (former director); Project Future (board of trustees); and the Northern Indiana representative member of the Indiana Small Business Development Center Network Advisory Board.
In 2002, Tom spearheaded the Entrepreneurial Development Growth & Education roundtable, a program promoted by the Small Business Development Center. EDGE reflected Tom's commitment to helping owners and managers grow their businesses and provided a forum for regional experts to speak on relevant small business issues.
In 2007, Tom became a member of the Business Advisory Council of the School of Business and Economics at Indiana University South Bend. His role includes supporting career development of students, advocating for IUSB and facilitating faculty involvement with the business community.
